Program description:
Our client-centred program provides holistic and culturally relevant services to First Nations, Metis and Inuit communities.

Target groups:

We offer individual and group counselling to support Aboriginal men, women and families on their path to healing and wellness. Ages (18+)

Services Offered:

  • Individual, Couple and Group Counselling
    o Anxiety and depression intervention
    o Addictions intervention and support
    o Trauma recovery and support
    o Emotion and anger management
  • Family Art Therapy (children ages 7-12)
  • Seniors Circles
  • Beading Circle
  • Outreach and Client Advocacy
  • Cultural and Educational Workshops
  • Cultural Teachings and Ceremony with Elders

THERAPEUTIC GROUPS
Family Art Therapy Mondays
4-8 pm
Children ages 7-12. Closed group to assist parent/ child relationship with improved communication through traditional teachings, sharing circles and creative fun. Janice Trudeau

6-9 pm
Open addictions support group for men and women. Provides motivation and support for changing addictive behaviours. Explores strategies for maintaining the change. Marianna Shturman

This open support group provides individuals with the opportunity to deal with isolation and/or depression through informal sharing and beading. Lisa Shouldice

Take Back Your Life Wednesdays
