Program description:
The Cyber Café is an afterschool program offered every
Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. that provides
Aboriginal youth with:
- tutors for homework support and mentoring
- free internet access
- fun physical activities (such as hip hop, lacrosse and
bowling)
- Cultural learning and support (craft workshops, Elder
teachings, talking circles etc.)
The services offered by the program are delivered in a way
that establishes a working relationship with the youth that
encourages trust, respect and honour in a traditional setting.
The Medicine Wheel is used as a way to deliver a balanced
work plan.
